Tamara Scott-Anderson, ASID
Tamara has worked as a residential designer since 1986, with BA and MA degrees from the University of Arizona in Tucson. Having passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) examination, Tamara is nationally qualified as a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and a licensed Interior Designer.
Tamara has served as past president of the local chapter of ASID and has won several Design Excellence Awards for her work. She has also passed the Arizona State Registrar of Contractors qualifying exam and holds both the residential and commercial contractors license for Contents Interiors.
As Vice President of Contents Interiors and its lead interior designer, Tamara has high standards for her staff of designers. She insists on a staff that is educated in their field and professional in their customer service and business practices. Tamara, along with her business partner, Carol Bell, are committed to providing the resources, training and support needed to allow the Contents Interiors design staff to complete any design project in a timely and professional manner.
In addition, Carol and Tamara maintain the latest and timeless styles of furnishings in their beautiful Tucson showroom and design resource center, where customers can sit on, feel and examine the quality of items before they purchase.
Any of Contents Interiors design staff can help clients choose a single item or plan an entire room or house, as well as help with new home construction or a remodeling project. Although managing her staff and showroom keeps Tamara busy, she enjoys teaming up with any of her staff to take on large, long-term projects.
“I enjoy the creative process and personal interaction of helping clients with interior design projects, but I believe the true role of a professional designer is to help move a project along with the best interest of the client in mind. This requires that a designer listen to the needs and expectations of a client then be assertive and organized enough to make it happen.” – Tamara Scott-Anderson

Many of my customers have a clear vision of their home when they walk in the door, and others want me to push them beyond where they have been, into a whole new style environment. This wide variety of taste and experience is what makes us tick as designers.
“The calmness of the room makes it an ideal place to relax, listen to music and read.” – Joanna & Oliver

I love working to find just the right furniture for each client’s needs and creating that special touch to make a house a home.
“Julie has great ideas, is fun to work with and always, always makes sure that her design solutions fit who you are and how you live. I can count on her for her guidance and creativity. Thank you, Julie.” – Melissa Carter
I have worked in the interior design industry for over 20 years including owning my own business, and most recently as a designer and salesperson at a high-end furniture showroom in Los Angeles. My philosophy is to step back and take the times to listen to the clients’ tastes and needs in order to foster successful, lasting relationships. My artistic background, coupled with years of experience in the field, allows me to translate the wishes of the clients into practical solutions ultimately presented in multi-dimensional renderings. I have found that my multi-cultural background (including verbal and written fluency in both English and Spanish) has served me well to relate to clients from different backgrounds. Winning designer on HGTV’s “Designer Challenge”.
Designing a home is all about listening to the client’s needs, understanding their tastes, personalities and lifestyle. I strive for comfort, timeless design and elegance without undue formality and above all designing a place that makes you smile when you walk in. – Bella Zwicker
I’ve spent the past 15 years using my artist’s eye to assist people in making good choices in modern and contemporary furniture and accessories. Now I’m bringing that experience to Contents three days a week.
I love color! The intensity of light in the desert Southwest lets us use lighter and brighter color palettes than those that are common in most parts of the country. Whether it is a major piece of furniture, art, or a fun accent piece, I enjoy sharing how color can enhance your home. Even if serene neutrals are your style, a vibrant piece of glass or a colorful barstool can take your style to the next level.
Purchasing furniture is making a major commitment. I respect that, and strive to make the process as easy and enjoyable as possible.
For those of you who have worked with me before: yes, I still have special-needs rescued cats, and I still believe that anything red is better than anything not red. And I only thought I was ready to retire!
“It is my job to help you make each piece in your home be the best reflection of your good taste.” – Julie Riggs
